Gerda died in 1974 before the actual smaller book "The Cobblestone Landmarks of New York State was printed in 1978. It appears virtually all of the structures had been actually photographed for the "The Era of Cobblestone Architecture" manuscript, but it is not known if prints existed for all. This list of photographs was documenting work in progress. A few structures in the list below are identified as "not included" or handwritten red text alone and are not yet in the current manuscript, but should be reviewed for inclusion. Note that the numbers in the list are often out of sequence.
To see if a Gerda Peterich photograph exists in the Cobblestone Info Base for a specific structure in the manuscript version of "The Era of Cobblestone Architecture", note the structure number in the manuscript and click on the same red handwritten number in the selected "Photographic List" page. An exception is the "Masonry Detail" section on page 6, where the numbers are black and do not appear in the manuscript. When a structure page is displayed, in the "Photographs" section of a Cobblestone Info Base page, any Gerda Peterich photograph will have a file name under a photo beginning with "GP" and have a number of a footnote stating it is a Gerda Peterich photograph. Otherwise, check the "Comments, Additional Information, References" section to see if the structure was included in the subsequent book "Cobblestone Landmarks of New York State", 1978.
